Hi, I’m Evelyn, a licensed counselor since 2013 and the first Certified Imago Relationship Therapist in Malaysia. After seeing many individual clients with various issues, I have learned that our wellbeing – be it physical, mental or emotional, has got a lot to do with the quality of our relationships. That was when I decided to pursue further to be a Relationship Therapist. I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples and families thrive in their relationships.

Relationships can be challenging, and life’s demands can sometimes create distance in the connection you once shared. Whether it’s work stress, parenting or family challenges, or lingering unresolved issues, these stressors can sometimes strain even the most loving relationships. And when that happens, it can leave us feeling frustrated and hopeless.

But there is hope for change!

I believe that every relationship has the potential to grow and flourish when its members are equipped with the tools to communicate effectively in a safe space and understand the interpersonal dynamics at play, that usually stems from our past relationships.

Every conflict is an opportunity for growth!

Imago Therapy focuses on understanding the underlying needs and fears that influence your behavior in a relationship. By bringing awareness to and exploring these core issues together, I will help you and your partner to communicate in a way that allows you both to reconnect or deepen your connection so that you can both feel loved, heard, and valued.

I recognize that every relationship is unique, and so are the challenges that you encounter. Hence, I customize my approach to address your specific concerns—whether you’re dealing with intimacy struggles, caught in a cycle of conflict, or simply seeking a deeper connection. My aim is not only to help you resolve these current issues but also to strengthen your relationship, creating a closer bond that can endure life’s challenges ahead – bringing the insights you’ve gained beyond the therapy room, out into your everyday life.

One of the things that really touched me personally as I was being trained to be an Imago Therapist was the requirement that we as therapists must walk the talk and practice what we preach. This isn’t something we can just practice on our clients without first experiencing it ourselves. Having been married for almost two decades with three teenage children, I know the challenges and have gone through my own struggles with my spouse as well as children. But what I’ve learned from Imago Therapy have helped me so much in my own personal life that I want to share it and help others who are struggling too.

If you’re ready to take the first step towards healing and strengthening your relationship, I encourage you to reach out. Let’s work together to turn your relationship into a source of joy and love, because you both deserve it.
